Our friendly Learning Support team is committed to supporting all learners in a variety of ways with particular support for learners with disabilities or learning difficulties. Learner Services will advise you about availability of learning or other support services and college facilities. They will refer you to and make appointments for you with our Learning Support team or other specialist services.
We understand that not all learners have access to the equipment required for online learning. We have in a number of Chromebook computers and data dongles to boost internet access for our students to loan*.
If you are currently studying a course with us and are being held back by the lack of equipment or internet access please talk to your tutor.
If you would like to enrol on an online course but are worried you don’t have a computer or access to the internet, please contact our Learner Services team via the live chat function, e-mail or phone and they will be happy to help you.
* Please note that the loan of equipment is strictly at the discretion of the College and is mainly for those on a qualification course.

If you have a disability, we will aim to meet your individual needs. Our Disability Officer works closely with the Additional Learning Support team and teachers in the College, to support you, and your course teacher, to ensure you complete and achieve your learning goals by reducing barriers to learning.

Our Additional Learning Support (ALS) team will arrange an interview for you to share and discuss your needs. We will confirm with you the support we are able to provide to help you succeed on your course and make the most of your time at the college.

You can do this while you enrol or after you join your class. Please inform your teacher or a member of the Learning Support team at the College or on 020 7255 4752. Alternatively, email learnerservices@wmcollege.ac.uk and they will pass on your request.
Please note – Learning Support is not available on all courses because of the way they are funded. Funds for Learning Support are also limited, therefore all support provided is subject to availability of resources and to the application of our priorities for supporting learners.
