Welcome to English and Maths

We offer functional skills and GCSEs to help you improve your English and Maths and pride ourselves on our high success rates. We offer a range of courses from practical day-to-day Maths to preparatory courses, functional skills and GCSEs:

  • Multiply Maths
  • English and Maths Preparatory Courses
  • Functional Skills English – Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2
  • Functional Skills Maths –  Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2
  • English GCSE
  • Maths GCSE

Should I do an English or ESOL course?

This will depend on your background. If you went to school in the UK or English is your first language, these classes are for you. If not, then our ESOL classes could be more suitable.

What courses do you offer? 

We offer a wide range of courses to help you improve your English and Maths for your day-to-day life or to gain a qualification so you can study at a higher level. Improving your English and Maths can also help you to find a job and increase your earning potential.

Courses vary from just one term to a whole year and are offered at Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2. 

When can I study? 

Courses are offered at various times to fit in with your other commitments.

When Times Days per week Hours per week 
Mornings 09.30 to 12.00  2 days a week 5 hours per week 
Afternoons 12.30 to 15.00  2 days a week 5 hours per week 
Evenings 18.30 to 21.00  2 days a week 5 hours per week 
Saturdays 10.00 to 14.30  1 day a week 4 hours per week 

Multiply Maths

Many people worry about their understanding of numbers or struggled with Maths at school. Our Multiply Maths programme provides free Maths workshops at college and in the community to help adults improve their understanding of numbers and finances for everyday life. Courses are free to most learners! 

English and Maths courses are free to anyone who does not already have a GCSE grade 4 (or grade C) or above.
